Tickets Now on Sale for Big Balloon Build in Canton

ArtsinStark, Stark County’s Arts Council, is excited to announce that tickets are now on sale for the Big Balloon Build in Canton, to be held at the Cultural Center for the Arts in downtown Canton, July 18-22, 2024.

Over 250,000 balloons will transform the Cultural Center for the Arts into a fully-immersive and mystical Folklore and Fantasy world for all ages to explore when the internationally-known Big Balloon Build arrives this summer.

The Big Balloon Build Canton is being hosted by Abby Messner of Inspired Balloon Designs, and proceeds benefit ArtsinStark in its mission to elevate the arts to strengthen our community.

Timed entry tickets to view the amazing balloon sculptures are available online in advance for $10 to $15 at

Ticket prices are as follows:

  • Adults / Children (ages 13-61): $15
  • Children (ages 4-12): $10
  • Children (under 4): Free
  • Seniors (age 62+): $12

Ticket price includes a one-hour, self-guided tour through the event and parking at the Cultural Center Campus. Tickets are available for purchase every half-hour from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The indoor event closes at 8:00 pm each day.

In addition, tickets for two celebratory Breakfast Parties, held on Friday, July 19 and Sunday, July 21, at 8 a.m.  are available. Tickets include a hot breakfast, costumed characters, a self-guided tour, and parking. Tickets are available for $25 to $30. The Breakfast events will begin at promptly at 8 a.m. and conclude at 10 am each day.

Abby Messner is the creative mind and owner behind Inspired Balloon Designs. She is also a dedicated full-time teacher who found her passion for balloons while searching for a unique way to celebrate her students’ birthdays. Starting with simple balloon animals, Messner quickly delved into the fascinating world of balloon decor, mastering the art of transforming ordinary balloons into mesmerizing creations that spread joy and excitement. She attended her first Big Balloon Build in 2022 and is thrilled to bring the event to her hometown.


For more than 50 years, ArtsinStark has served the community by elevating the arts to strengthen our community.  The organization leverages the arts as a vehicle to support its key focus areas: Arts & Education, Arts & Well-being, and Arts & Vitality. With funds raised through the annual Campaign for the Arts, ArtsinStark will continue its support of the area’s seven major arts groups: Canton Museum of Art, Canton Palace Theatre, Massillon Museum, Sing Stark, Canton Ballet, Canton Symphony Orchestra, and Bluecoats.
