Register Now for Massillon Fun Fest Booth Space

Fun Fest will enliven Downtown Massillon on Saturday, August 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Centered on Duncan Plaza, the free community event will extend onto the Massillon Museum lawn, the municipal parking lot, and First Street Southeast.

Fun Fest is sponsored by The Massillon Museum, the Downtown Massillon Association, and MCTV. Organizers are now welcoming registrations for participants.

Nonprofit organizations and businesses are invited to participate. There is no cost for booth space, but every participant must provide a free or nearly free activity for children. In the past, groups have offered free school supplies, medical screenings, art projects, science experiments, bubbles, educational handouts and activities, music, dancing, sports, bingo, nature activities, and many other kinds of hands-on fun.

While the children are participating in the booth’s activity, staff can chat with parents about the sponsor, but participants are urged to remember Fun Fest is not a business expo.

Booth operators will provide their own tables, chairs, equipment, and supplies, as well as set-up and tear-down.

In addition to the booths, organizers schedule inflatables, strolling costumed characters and performers, a child-size train ride, a petting zoo, touchable trucks, and live local entertainment—dancers, cheer teams, music, and athletic demonstrations—on the stage.

Typically First Street, the Museum lawn, and Duncan Plaza have been filled with families during the annual event, creating free opportunities for children, drawing attention to downtown assets, and showcasing participating organizations and businesses.  Fun Fest has been a summer highlight in Massillon for more than a quarter of a century.
