The Players Guild Theatre is proud to present the critically acclaimed, three-time Tony Award® and Pulitzer Prize winning musical, NEXT TO NORMAL.
Dan Goodman (Dad) is an architect; Diana Goodman (Mom) rushes to pack lunches and pour cereal; their daughter, Natalie and son, Gabe are bright, wise-cracking teens, appearing to be a typical American family. And yet their lives are anything but normal because the mother has been battling manic depression for 16 years. NEXT TO NORMAL takes audiences into the minds and hearts of each character, presenting their family’s story with love, sympathy and heart while exploring how the Goodman household copes with crisis and mental illness.
NEXT TO NORMAL is an emotional powerhouse that addresses timely and relevant issues such as grieving a loss, ethics in modern psychiatry, and the pressures of suburban life.
Under the Artistic Direction of Joshua Erichsen, and directed by Jonathan Tisevich, the talented cast of NEXT TO NORMAL includes:
Diana Goodman – KEITHA BROWN/LANA SUGARMAN*
Natalie Goodman – HALLIE WALKER
Gabe Goodman – DOMINIC IUDICIANI
Dan Goodman – JON TISEVICH
Henry – DEVIN PFEIFFER
