Mount Union to Feature Students in Piano Keys

The University of Mount Union will present a Piano Keys recital on November 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Presser Recital Hall of the Giese Center for the Performing Arts.

Students of Dr. Maira Liliestedt and Bohdan Subchack will perform at the recital. Performers include Samuel Atkinson of Carrollton, Ohio, Jenna Hoffman of Canton, Ohio, Michael Jarman of Lexington, Kentucky, Kollin Klingler of Bryan, Ohio, pre-college student Glory Maendel, Abigail Ogonek of Westlake, Ohio, Kaitlyn Slezak of Hermitage, Pennsylvania and Tim Topoly of Northfield, Ohio.

Students will play works of Isaac Albéniz, Johann Sebastian Bach, Johannes Brahms, Ludwig van Beethoven, Ludovico Einaudi, Felix Mendelssohn, Maurice Ravel and Robert Schumann.  The performance will close with Camille Saint-Saëns’ famous Danse macabre, a rousing finale matching the occasion of this All Hallows’ Day performance.

The event is free and open to the community to attend. For more information on this and other programming events from the Department of Music, visit www.mountunion.edu/arts-and-culture/music-events.
