MassMu’s December “Do the Mu!”
Enjoy a free, family-friendly activity during Do the Mu at the Massillon Museum on Saturday, December 3, led by instructor Sam Lilenfield. Visit anytime between between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. to learn about beginning embroidery. All supplies will be provided.
Lilenfield is a fiber and illustration artist from Canton, Ohio. Her contemporary embroidery work is centered around vibrant color palettes and layers of texture.
Do the Mu is a monthly drop-in, hands-on intergenerational outlet for creativity. The Massillon Museum receives operating support from the Ohio Arts Council and ArtsinStark. This workshop is funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.
Guests on December 3 can view the Stark County Artists Exhibition; INTO LIGHT Ohio Project: Continuing the Conversation; “Carry On”: A Century of Swing; and Collection Snapshot: Faces of Massillon Business. The Paul Brown/Massillon Tiger Football History Timeline, the American Indian Gallery, the Massillon History Gallery, the Immel Circus, Innovators of Massillon, and the Albert E. Hise Fine and Decorative Arts Gallery are always on display.
MassMu is located at 121 Lincoln Way East (Ohio Route 172) in downtown Massillon. It is now open during regular hours Tuesday through Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. A visit is always free.
