the Massillon Millionaire’s Row tour will be offered on Saturday, June 29, to complement the Massillon Museum’s Gilding Northeast Ohio: Fashion and Fortune 1870–1900 exhibition.

Start the afternoon with a narrated two-hour saunter on Massillon’s historic Fourth Street at 1:00 p.m. Walk with local historian Margy Vogt along the brick street past the mansions of Massillon’s Gilded Age socialites. The per person fee for the walking tour is $10 (cash or check), payable on arrival. No reservations are required.

Massillon Heritage Foundation will invite visitors to step inside Massillon’s most formidable architectural Gilded Age gem, Five Oaks, 210 Fourth Street NE, to see Tiffany windows and light fixtures and extravagantly carved woodwork. First-person interpretive tours will be offered at 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00. Those who do the Fourth Street walking tour will return to the corner of Fourth ad North in time for the 3:00 mansion tour. The Five Oaks per person fee is $10 (cash or check), payable on arrival.  No reservations are required.

Massillon Millionaires’ Row organizers suggest having lunch in nearby downtown Massillon prior to the event. Guests may participate in one or both tours. While the walking tour is not feasible in the rain, Five Oaks will be open in any weather. The event is not wheelchair-friendly. Free parking is available on all city streets.
