Who let the dogs out?!? This First Friday’s theme is Gone to the Dogs. Come down and visit for a night of dog themed fun and activities, including The Essential Alternatives giving out free dog treats, Pinetree Primitives and Rustic Riches will be featuring $5 Make and Take treat bags full of hand-made dog treats, and Print & Press will be welcoming dogs with free doggie treats and new styles from Little Chicago Clothing Company. All dogs are welcome!!
First Friday means Free Family Movie at the Canton Palace Theatre! At 7:30pm, “fetch” the entire family and bring them down to Canton’s largest movie screen for “The Secret Life of Pets”! Admission is free, but a ticket is required and can be reserved through the Canton
Palace Theatre Box Office.
The galleries and shops will be aflutter with amazing deals and finds. The 309 Court Avenue building will be host to a group of GlenOak HighSchool artists and the Canton Museum of Art will be home to Milk + Bookies with free hands-on art activities and story time with local Canton celebrities. Stop by Vintage Frame Affair for 10% off all “Ready to Hang” items. The Joseph Saxton Gallery of Photography will be presenting Enviro-Art, curated by Canton’s own Alaska Thompson as well as a Love Your Skin Stark County art auction presented by the North Canton Medical Foundation. Don’t forget to swing by Cantonology for your Canton-themed dog bandanas and make sure to stop by Lynda Tuttle’s Art Center to see LTAC Girl’s Year End Art Exhibit and meet volunteers from Days for Girls.
If that’s not enough there will be plenty of food, drink and live entertainment to enjoy from restaurants such as Grapes in a Glass, where they will be featuring dog-themed drinks on their pet-friendly patio as well as a dog “kissing booth” to raise money for local animal rescue. Carpe Diem Coffee Shop will be serving treat cookies for you AND your fur baby and the Auricle will be hosting one last dance at their current home before they relocate Downtown next to George’s Lounge.
