Friends of the Massillon Museum Scavenger Hunt

Friends of the Massillon Museum Scavenger Hunt

Join the Friends of the Massillon Museum, an independent volunteer organization formed to support MassMu levy efforts, for a Pizza and Art Pursuit party on Tuesday, September 27.  The event will start with pizza and soft drinks at 377 First Street SE in Massillon at 5:30 p.m. and conclude by 8:00 p.m.

Registration provides access to artisan-crafted pizza made onsite and a passport for an artful adventure in downtown Massillon!  Organizers encourage guests to patronize downtown businesses as they meander around town to photograph murals and sculpture in answer to clues. The first several people to locate all the artwork and return their cards and images to the starting location will win prizes.

The registration fee is $25.  Donations in any amount will be welcome from those who are unable to attend.

Funds raised will be used to fund the campaign to pass Issue 9 on the November ballot. Passage of that 1.5 mill property tax will keep the Massillon Museum open to continue the preservation of the community’s history.

To register in advance, send a check to Friends of the Massillon Museum, 1170 Lennox Avenue, NE, Massillon 44646.  To register by phone and pay at the door, call Margy Vogt at 330-844-1525.  Walk-ins will be welcome.
