First Piece Ever Performed! | Canton Symphony Orchestra

MasterWorks:
Beethoven & Elgar

Featuring:
Joshua Roman, cello
Gerhardt Zimmermann, Conductor

Sunday, October 2nd @ 7:00PM

During our first MasterWorks concert, Beethoven & Elgar, we will perform a very special piece that plays an important role in the history of Canton Symphony Orchestra. Way back in 1938, Beethoven’s Overture to Egmont was played during the very first concert the CSO ever performed as a fully-fledged organization.

This season is special to us. In the world of nonprofit performing arts, making it to 85 years is a monumental testament to just how much Stark County cares about classical music. We have survived several economic disasters, three moves, and even a pandemic… and we could not have done it without the generous support of several generations of music lovers keeping us playing along.

Join us on Sunday, October 2nd to celebrate this milestone.

Tickets start at $10 and are available now by visiting the link HERE or by calling our box office at 330-452-2094.
