The Massillon Museum’s “Do the Mu!” workshop on Saturday, September 1, will feature “Tiny Buildings” with Kat Francis. Guests will construct a miniature house or building with reclaimed materials from the Museum’s expansion project. In addition to its connection to the construction work, the “Do the Mu!” project relates to the exhibit of dollhouse furnishings in the Museum’s lower level lobby.
Workshop participants of all ages are invited to drop in any time from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. No reservations are required.
Francis, who spent a decade developing special effects for big-budget films like “Captain America” and “The Avengers,” also creates drawings, paintings, sculptures, and collages.
“Do the Mu!” provides a hands-on, multi-generational outlet for creativity on the first Saturday of every month. It is always free and all materials are supplied.
The Massillon Museum receives operating support from the Ohio Arts Council and ArtsinStark.
The Massillon Museum is located at 121 Lincoln Way East (Ohio Route 172) in downtown Massillon. Free parking is available on adjacent streets and in nearby city lots. For more information, call the Museum at 330-833-4061 or visit massillonmuseum.org.
