CHRISTKINDL MARKT CELEBRATES 50TH ANNIVERSARY
AT THE CANTON MUSEUM OF ART
AND CULTURAL CENTER FOR THE ARTS!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Canton, Ohio): October 13, 2023, Canton, Ohio – Canton Fine Arts Associates, an affiliate of the Canton Museum of Art, is pleased to announce the 50th Anniversary of Christkindl Markt, the premier juried fine arts and crafts show – and a holiday tradition for Canton, Stark County, and the region.  Christkindl Markt will be held Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4, 10am to 6pm, at the Canton Museum of Art and Cultural Center for the Arts.  Admission to the Markt is $8.00 with ages 12 and younger admitted free.  Parking will also be free.

Marking its 50th year of supporting the Canton Museum of Art, Christkindl Markt will feature over 70 artisans with talents ranging from jewelry, ceramics, pottery, photography, glass, metal, fibers/wearables, holiday items and much more.  Other offerings will include The Markt Bistro featuring sandwiches and lite snacks, The Sweet Shoppe with homemade candy, Silent Auction, Book Shop plus Golden Ticket and Grand Raffles and a selection of Gift Baskets all generously supported by local and regional businesses. Andrea’s of Sugarcreek is once again providing a $1000 shopping spree Door Prize to a lucky winner.

As part of the 50th Anniversary Celebration Mayor Thomas Bernabei of Canton, will issue a proclamation on Friday, November 3 prior to the Markt opening at 10am.  Also, the first 50 patrons in line will receive a special tasty treat from the Sweet Shoppe.

“A popular event for five decades, Christkindl Markt has been able to raise over $2.5 million to benefit the Canton Museum of Art,” said Museum Director & CEO Max Barton.  “This beloved legacy, has made a profound impact on our museum and the community.”
