Canton Ceramic Artists Guild hosting their 29th Annual May Show and Sale on May 6th and May 7th at CMA!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Canton, Ohio): April 19th, 2022 – The Canton Ceramic Artists Guild will be hosting their Annual Spring Sale on Friday, May 6th from 10am-8pm and Saturday, May 7th from 10am-2pm at the Canton Museum of Art. This popular Canton event will feature the work of 13 master potters and ceramic artists and will include functional stoneware, sculpture, wall pieces, raku, and more. A portion of the proceeds from the sale will benefit the Museum’s Ceramic Education Program, helping to purchase additional pottery shop equipment, sponsor workshops for local artists, and purchasing ceramic artwork for the Canton Museum of Art’s Permanent Collection.
Each participating potter is donating six or more hand-made bowls for the Empty Bowls for Hunger project, with all proceeds donated to the Stark County Hunger Task Force.
Admission to the sale will be FREE and open to the public. Admission into CMA’s Spring/Summer Exhibitions will be FREE on Friday from 10am-8pm and will be regular admission rates on Saturday from 10am-5pm. Parking in the Museum lot is free, please remember to tell the attendant that you are parking for the Museum’s Pottery Sale.
The Canton Ceramic Artists Guild is an Affiliate of The Canton Museum of Art. The group is dedicated to the support of the Museum’s Ceramic Education Program, by maintaining the Ceramic Studio, mixing glazes, helping beginning students, firing finished work, and donating funds from the sale of their own ceramic art.
