C&A & Stark Flavor Present First Annual Canton Round-Up

Canton, OH (April 28, 2022)- Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health (C&A) and Stark Flavor, a local restaurant website, have partnered to present the first annual Canton Round-Up to benefit mental health services May 1-31 during National Mental Health Awareness Month.

The first Round-Up features 17 downtown Canton businesses. The participating businesses include Arcadia, Carpe Diem, Cherry Blend Coffee Roasters, Conestoga Grill, Fromage du Monde, George’s Lounge, Grapes In a Glass, H2 Wine & Restaurant, Jerzees, Johnny’s Look Out Pizza, Kendall & Blue Boutique, Milestone Board Games, Muskellunge Brewing Co., Pride 821, Samantha’s Downtown, Sparta Steakhouse & Lounge and WERC.

Throughout the month of May, as customers are checking out at the register of local participating establishments, businesses owners will ask customers if they would like to round-up their bill or make a monetary donation in a jar at the cash register. The proceeds from the Round-Up benefit the services and programs provided to more than 4,400 clients of C&A.

To add incentive for businesses to remind customers to donate, Stark Flavor purchased a trophy to be awarded to the business that brings in the most donations. The winning business will keep the trophy for a year.

“We are thrilled to have 17 businesses and Stark Flavor partner with us for the first Canton Round-Up,” said Dan Mucci, marketing and development coordinator for C&A. “The idea of Stark Flavor creating a friendly contest among business owners to get the most donations adds a fun element to this event. C&A looks forward to growing the campaign and expanding our partnerships in the coming years.”

Mike Sturdivant of Stark Flavor said, “At Stark Flavor, our C.A.R.E.S. initiative is our outreach platform to assist local non-profits with their goals through promotion and community partnerships. We are excited to team up with Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health on their Canton Round-Up Fundraising Event in support of Mental Health Awareness Month. We look forward to joining them & our Downtown Canton partners in making this campaign as successful as we possibly can.”

The Canton Round-Up is designed to promote downtown business owners who have struggled during the past two years while at the same time providing local businesses the opportunity to give back to the community. Business owners are creating videos providing self-care tips their staff and employees used during the pandemic, which ties in nicely with mental health awareness month. We invite the community to follow this Round-Up on C&A’s social media channels or Stark Flavor’s Facebook page.
