Stark County boasts a vibrant and diverse art scene, brimming with talent and creativity. From painters and photographers to dancers and singers, our community is home to an array of individuals whose works inspire and captivate.

In our new series, "Self Portrait" we sit down and chat with some of Stark County's artists. Each interview allows the artist to tell us their story in their own words—from their creative journey and artistic philosophies, to the unique contributions they make to our cultural landscape.

Join us as we celebrate the artistry and passion that defines Stark County, one artist at a time.

Through my career at MassMu, I get the opportunity to consistently work side-by-side local and regional artists. Being one myself helps to have a common ground.
Wood working for me has always been a way of fulfilling some sort of need—whether it be creating a use for excess wood, or to experience the process of creating something.
I am inspired by many things but much of my artwork involves animal themes because of my deep love of animals.
